Sreenivasan has had a terrific opening to the year with the film ‘Makante Achan’ which is currently leading at the box office. Though the film only managed an average opening, it picked up tremendously thanks largely to the inflow of family audiences. Box office reports from Kozhikkod and Thiruavananthapuram are stunning. According to trade experts, the film will be in the safer side in terms of generated revenue and will end up as a hit.

Mammootty's ‘Love In Singapor’ also fared better last weekend mainly because there has been no big competition from the fresh releases. Industry pundits opine that the film has not had the usual magic of a Mammootty release and could end up well short of expectations. Though ‘Love In Singapore’ will stay on in theaters for the next couple of weeks it will be declared a flop.

Mr. Mammootty….please buck up. Three continuous flops is not like you.
